Muscle Relaxant Treatments

Botulinum has become the first biological toxin to become licensed for treatment of human disease. In the United States, botulinum toxin is currently licensed for treatment of cervical torticollis, strabismus, and blepharospasm associated with dystonia. It is also used "off label" for a variety of more prevalent conditions that include migraine headache, chronic low back pain, stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and achalasia.

Botulinum Toxin is also used for cosmetic facial rejuvenation.

Vistabel(® Treatments
Vistabel(® is the trade name of Botulinum Toxin Type A, a purified toxin produced by the bacterium Clostrdium botulinum. Vistabel® is injected directly into the skin in extremely small doses.
Specific muscles that cause frown lines are targeted by the injections. These isolated muscles are paralysed by the Vistabel®, and can no longer contract.

The bunching of skin from facial muscle contractions causes frown lines. When we frown, the skin between our eyebrows is gathered into a fold, which eventually causes a chronic furrow. This gives our face a frustrated, discouraged, angry look, which is distracting to others and a bother to us.

Now you can soften and reduce these frown lines without surgery and without scars, by a simple Vistabel® Cosmetic treatment. The results of Vistabel®) treatment start to appear in three to ten days. The treated muscles will gradually regain their action over three to five months. When the frown line starts to reappear, a simple repeat treatment is all that is necessary to maintain the desired results.
