The revolutionary Cerec procedure was developed at Zurich University over 25 years ago and is now used by Dentists worldwide. In fact, up to 20 million Cerec fillings are fitted each year. This exciting system allows for fillings and crowns to be measured, made and fitted within the same day.
Tooth coloured white fillings and crowns have become a popular option in recent years as they offer a natural looking, strong and safe alternative to metals.
Cerec ceramic crowns avoid the use of any metals, instead incorporating all natural materials. They are ideal for those who may be concerned about the safety of metal-base fillings or who are looking for a more natural finish.
They are also perfect for those looking for a quick and convenient restoration which can be fitted in the same day. Visit us in surgery and leave with your brand new tooth (or teeth) in just a couple of hours!
Due to the way in which they are milled, Cerec crowns are very strong and durable. In fact, many often prove just as strong and durable as gold.
With Cerec restorations we don’t need to take any impressions. Instead, using the sophisticated CAD/CAM system we will take 3D images of your prepared tooth on our cameras. Following this, you simply need to wait for your restoration to be milled in the surgery in just a few minutes.
There is no need for a temporary filling or crown and once it is ready your crown can be fitted in the same day.
Cerec can be used for crowns, inlays, onlays, fillings and veneers. It is suitable for use on all teeth with very little preparation required.
